UC San Diego Emergency Housing Services
UC SAN DIEGO EMERGENCY HOUSING SERVICES
Students in emergency situations may be eligible for our emergency housing services through UC San Diego. Our services range from either emergency or transitional housing options. Emergency housing situations are often those consisting of safety concerns, unforeseen housing displacements, and other crisis situations. These resources exist to support students in emergency situations only and are triaged through a needs-based assessment.
The Basic Needs Off-Campus Housing Office is slowly beginning to produce a portfolio of resources to accommodate the spectrum of housing needs. These services are differentiated through the following categories:
Emergency/Temporary: indicates that a student is in immediate need of housing due to a crisis situation & does not have a secure long-term housing plan
Transitional: indicates that a student is in between housing accommodations and needs short-term support until their long-term plan can be ready
