Role and Responsibilities
Volunteer roles are a vital part of our daily operations at The Hub, and we offer several volunteer opportunities throughout the academic year. Below are some of the general responsibilities of a volunteer:
Responsibilities:
- Shall work at The Hub at least an hour/week for the duration of the quarter
- Shall report to and act under the direction of The Hub staff
- Shall assist staff with space maintenance and activities
- Shall be responsible for providing good service during their scheduled shift
- Shall currently be a registered UC San Diego student
Positions
The Hub's Personal Hygiene Volunteer
As Personal Hygiene Volunteer, you will assist at least 1 hour per week with supporting our Personal Hygiene Program, as well as assisting with space maintenance and customer service at the Hub. For Spring 2024, this will involve assisting staff with our Personal Hygiene Program via packing Personal Hygiene Orders, assisting with organizing PH stock, and cleaning.
FRN's Food Distribution Volunteer
As a Food Distributions Volunteer, you will assist at least 1 hour per week with food distribution activities, cleaning, and customer services during FRN food distributions either at Student Center A's Triton Food Pantry or OMS (Graduate and Family Housing) Pantry.
