Volunteer roles are a vital part of our daily operations at The Hub Basic Needs Center, and we offer several volunteer opportunities throughout the academic year. If you have further questions, please email basicneeds@ucsd.edu.

Personal Hygiene Program Volunteer

Personal Hygiene Volunteer(s) assist at least 1 hour per week with supporting our Personal Hygiene Program operations via packing Personal Hygiene Orders, assisting with organizing PH stock, and cleaning.

Food Recovery Network Volunteers

As a Food Distributions Volunteer, you will assist with food distribution activities, cleaning, and customer services during FRN food distributions either at Student Center A's Triton Food Pantry or OMS (Graduate and Family Housing) Pantry.

Triton Food Pantry Volunteers

The Triton Food Pantry is UCSD's food support service for all undergraduate and graduate students, and we are a student run operation in the need of current UCSD students looking to put in at least 1 hour per week to help us with general operations at either of our Pantry locations on campus (Student Center A or Graduate Housing).

Pantry Volunteers help us receive and stock orders, clean, and scan student's IDs when picking up food.
