This booklet will dive into housing and identity and elevating common off-campus housing experiences within different student communities. Part 1: Housing Identity

In San Diego’s competitive market, high demand and limited supply can create barriers such as discrimination, xenophobia, and predatory rental practices, especially for students from marginalized communities. Staying informed about your rights as a tenant, recognizing potential challenges, and utilizing campus resources can help you navigate the process more confidently. Part 2: Undocumented Students & Housing

Undocumented students may face unique challenges in the housing search, including fear of disclosing their status, lack of required documentation, and vulnerability to predatory rental practices.
