With the role as a Basic Needs Assistant, Xiomara aspires to make incoming and current students feel comfortable when accessing the services The Hub provides. She feels that genuine help from a university center like The Hub is essential to a student's pathway towards success so as a student myself, she feels encouraged to help in any way possible. The experiences that Xiomara encountered during her time at The Hub will be carried throughout her path towards dentistry as she remembers that access to dental care is another basic necessity that continuously struggles to be met.
